Sometimes I ask myself "why does this happen to me?" Well, it almost hurts as bad sometimes when it happens to someone else.

A good friend on mine (actually, a family friend) has been renting a small house out in the country for a couple years. A little while ago, he moved with his wife and 2 kids to a different province, he got a job there.

In the house he rented, he could never afford to renovate. Unfortunately, he now wishes he did, or at least have accidentally thrown his arm through a wall accidentally.

When he left, new owners moved in. They were renovating, so bang bang bang, down walls came. To their surprise, about $100,000 worth of cash!

That hurts. I never thought a horror story like this would happen so close to me.

As for my second story, not as dramatic, but, when I was around 1 year old my dad was going to buy a 100 acre farm near town, for about $40000. Well, his reality guy was sick, and said that he would do that paper work after the weekend, and that the property would be his, nothing to worry about.

Well, that weekend some big guy came in and bought it. My dad could have went to court, but he was told it wasn?t worth his time.

5 years later, the guy who bought that property sold it for 1.5 million.

Ouch.

One time me and a friend stopped at a corner store on the way back from class, he went inside and I stayed outside. When he came out he found a $20 bill laying right at my feet and I didn't even notice :(
