I'm going to install XP in my main system. I have W2K in 2 others networked. All partitions in all my systems are currently FAT32.

Do I have to convert to NTFS for W2K or should I?

If I do convert to NTFS in my main machine, will I have problems sharing files from the FAT32 machines or my FAT32 "Documents" HDD?

No, you don't need to convert. But, if you should want to, there is no problem between FAT and NTFS across a network. They can see the data just fine either way. It is like the Internet . . . a large network. You have Macs talking to PC with all sorts of variations. No problem.

The only problem NTFS might pose is if you do any boots using a DOS disk . . . then the DOS loaded system will not be able to read the NTFS HDD.
