Agreed. Most of this stuff is simply misspeaking. If one insists that Rick Perry believes we had a revolution in the sixteenth century, one is also honor-bound to insist that Obama thinks there are fifty-eight states.

The proper response is just to laugh, whichever side says dumb stuff.
