A Company of Idiots - USPS

This how the USPS decided to ship my item from bestbuy.com:
Your item was processed and left our FOREST PARK, IL facility on September 13, 2004. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
Here is what happened earlier:
ACCEPTANCE, September 03, 2004, 2:01 pm, MADISON, WI 53707
ELECTRONIC SHIPPING INFO RECEIVED, September 03, 2004
ARRIVED SHIPPING PARTNER FACILITY, September 01, 2004, 9:22 am, BOLINGBROOK, IL 60440
Yes thats right boys and girls, USPS ships the product from Illinois to Madison (city its addressed too). Held the package (probably lost the fvcking thing) for 10 days. Then its found BACK in Illinois. So in 12 days time, the package was driven to Madison and driven back to Illinois. Now its on the way BACK to Madison--hopefully. Why ohh why does bestbuy.com have to ship via USPS why not FedEx or UPS (I know the answer--$)?

I know that this thread is completely useless but at least i can vent.

yeah, they 'delivered' a package for me today and left me a note in the mailbox saying it was in the main office of my complex, yet they don't have it, nor does USPS, HOORAY for packages being in limbo.

USPS sucks! They once held my package for 3 weeks before it was delivered. Small package, first class mail, 50 mile delivery...

You couldn't pick up in store? Or does BB not have that feature? (I'm not sure)

Oh, and that's pretty dumb of them to ship it like that. They probably did lose it. However, I received a package from the UK the other day through USPS and it arrived about 7 days earlier than expected. I had to go pick it up though, because the doorbell doesn't work and I don't think that they knocked.

I like FedEx, but I ordered a new KB/mouse (spilled iced tea on KB, tired of this mouse already.. 2+ years old) from newegg the other day and it's scheduled to arrive the 15th. However, it's sitting at the FedEx right now, being sat on because it's "Not Scheduled for Delivery" yet. I don't think the truck was already out the door by the time it arrived and was checked and it wouldn't have been out of the way because a neighbor of mine receives packages almost everyday through FedEx. I just would've liked it today instead of tomorrow, but whatever, I have a rough draft to write so I wouldn't have had time to set it up anyways. I just wanted to hold and cuddle it 🙁

Not much experience with UPS, but we do receive packages from them at work. I'm not the mailguy though, or in purchasing, so I'm not too sure on how that works. However, I haven't had a problem with the condition that their packages arrive in.

Oh, just incase anyone cares: http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/t...cknumbers=686824897771
