God(of the Bible) = Ego maniacal genocidal being who seems quite inept to carry through it's plan

Hitler = Ego maniacal genocidal being who seems quite inept to carry through his plan

I have never seen God and Hitler in the same place

Therefor: God==Hitler

Why do these topics even get off the ground on this forum. Do you hate religion that much? Does it even fucking matter that other folks don't follow your belief?

Hitler = hate
You = hate
Therefore: You = Hitler?😕

I only hate BS and this "God" is just that, a pile of BS. Read your Bible and tell me one redeemable quality its' main character has.

Listen buddy, I don't even own a bible and I'm really not religious....

You need to lighten up Francis....let it go. There's plenty of shitty BS things in the world. that doesn't mean it's Gods fault or anyone's for that matter.

You don't need to be religious or atheist to deal with BS.

I invoke Godwin's law.

religious people don't bother me in general--it's those that treat the word of the Bible (or whatever book) as absolute truth and use it to justify their inherent prejudice and to try and cram their fear and hatred through public legislation, thus intruding on the rights of others.

There are plenty of fine faithful, religious people who are swell, awesome, intelligent people that would just as soon live their lives and wouldn't give two shits about what others think. And many of them whom I know that actively dislike the type of ignorant fundies that try to legislate their hate through so-called religious and moral values.

It's those, like mentioned earlier, who actively promote latent racism and homophobia b/c "God tells them to" that fully deserve the label of "ignorant wise and beautiful woman."

There are few other situations where such a title is as aptly appropriate.

LOL @ angry religiotard.

Judging by your response and your failure to understand the post...sadly, I have to assume you're the person of lesser intellect.

It really doesn't matter if you are an atheist or religious; judging people based on their beliefs would make that person retarded.

You seem to fit the bill.

People who believe in imaginary fairies in the sky granting wishes if you talk to them are automatically less intelligent than those who reject such fantasies.

BTW, to say you can judge someone based on their beliefs is patently false. You can tell a lot about someone who believes that one race is inferior to another (something seen in the bible often). You can tell a lot about someone who believes homosexuality is immoral (sounding familiar?). Someone who is susceptible to belief in magic and fairy tales has an inferior intellect than someone who doesn't, tautologically. Just because these nonsense beliefs are widely held doesn't mitigate the stupidity of those who hold them.

OK...if you say so, I'm sure it must be true...feel better now.

Does that wall of words make it OK to insult me? I've stated I'm not religious or an atheist. Maybe you don't like cats...you should go kick one....same logic and behavior.

You guys are confusing proof with evidence. You can believe things without being ignorant if there is evidence and reasons to believe in whatever you're talking about. But there isn't the slightest evidence that there is any sort of god, and this is why atheists don't believe in such gods

Proof requires verifiable evidence.

The burden of proof is the burden of providing sufficient evidence to shift a conclusion from an oppositional opinion. Whoever does not carry the burden of proof carries the benefit of assumption. Whoever bears the burden of proof must present sufficient evidence to move the conclusion to their own position. The burden of proof must be fulfilled both by establishing positive evidence and negating oppositional evidence.

Proof requires verifiable evidence.

not sure how your response has anything to do with my post

I was saying that I'm not even asking for proof to justify "your" beliefs or to convince me, I'm only asking for at least some evidence. The lack of a single shred of evidence or good argument makes it impossible for me to respect the belief

Umm, you didn't actually respond to anything he said. No surprise really.

Do you think that someone who believes in the tooth fairy and unicorns is likely to be as intelligent as someone who doesn't?

The thing is that there is no answer. What a person believes is the defining characteristic of a person. But when you point that obvious fact out to a religious person they get all pissed off and start shouting. I really think that most religious people know that their beliefs makes no since whatsoever and are just trying to keep their heads in the sand because it is more comfortable then facing a universe in which if they want to be special they have to actually work at it.

I don't need to respond to ignorance. This kind of statement is just as ignorant as someone who comments negatively towards Gay folks.

Are you asking me if someone of religion is not as intelligent as an Atheist? I don't know it depends on the person. 🙄 Being religious, or having a certain belief other than yours/his doesn't dictate intellect.

A lot of condescending attitudes on here....maybe you should kick that cat too if it makes you feel better.

No, it's not, unless you believe that you choose to be gay or not. People choose what to believe in, they have every opportunity to examine the evidence and come to a conclusion based on that evidence. I think it is fair to say that anyone that looks at the evidence for and against religion and decides that religion has the better case is either less intelligent or very poorly educated.

I believe we have a mix here in the midwest. Work in Education. I am in IT, but I work in the enrollment services. My real boss is Gay (I think) and he adopted. Dont know what I think about that. (Imagine gay guy sharing pictures of kid!) I am Mormon, some are Christian, Had a worker from India descent last year but I dont know if she was that religious. We dont discuss religion much but we are not afraid of God either.

You might think I meant happy! Also capitalized Education, simply because it is the field I work in. Dont want you to think I hate Education. Capitalized Mormon and Christian also. Just because I wanted to. Are you the Literature policemen in this forum?

And this is why rational people hate religion - because you're bigoted, ignorant motherfuckers.
