A+ classes online?

I'm located in Michigan and have little time to attend a "boot camp" to get my A+ certificate. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of an accredited college, or online course that could prepare someone for the New A+ exams, and what the new requirements are. I have an old A+ cert guide from like 5 years ago right before the changes they made.

Thanks in advance....Network+ or inet as well

I guess I'd be looking for an explanation since, I'm being told not to get it. I only ask as I just lost a some business contract as the owners wanted a cert. that I could not provide. I guess my custom refference list wasn't good enough.

As someone who works in IT, it's not even considered worth the paper it's printed on..

However it's still good to have since it is not that expensive, shouldn't be too difficult to get (if you know what you are doing), and is still a piece of paper you can wave around when people want to see some proof that you know what you are doing (no matter how worthless it is to IT people).

A good way to get started, worthless once you have your foot in the door.

I'm studying for it right now through my company's online training system. I have to get it because we got bought by another company that requires it for all their IT people. Apparently the fact that I've done Desktop/Tech support for 8 years doesn't matter...

Only problem is there's so much crap on there tha tyou will never use (Win 95, Win ME, etc) that it's just a pain to learn it when you know you don't really care.

Asked my company to pay for my A+ (exam only) cert a few years ago. They sent me to SUN classes instead. 😉

Buy the book and study for a few hours?

If that 8-year old girl can pass it I don't think you need to pay for classes.
