a ching a ching ching

There is a _____ probability that I may be coming into a _____sum of money soon. I can't say how much.

basically, I will fix my car as it is a grevious state of disrepair. In addition, I will use the money to pay for as much of my college as possible.

THe only things I will buy for "amusement" purposes will be some new boxer's, a new pair of leather shoes(<$150) as mine are worn out after a few eyars use, and some sort of music player..Ipod or Iriver ..whatever.

I was interested in what to do with the rest.

I have been looking heavily into getting an IRA etc. Basically, I won;t TOUCh it except for school, so I would like to see what options are in terms of letting it "sit" or getting a nice ROI via a myriad of avenues...i will probably only get teh IRA soon, but otherwise, and options I c

I am NOT looking for high-risk options, so stock-market is pretty OUT in terms of my immediate options.

First one who says "start a pumpkin farming business in November" or "buy a spelling checker" gets a frijole it😀

As long as I am not locked out from the finds, I have no preference. A roth IRA will allow me to deduct iirc.

Mutual funds might also be an option for me, but I have yet to do research on it, so i will take what people say about them with a grain of salt(perfectly reasonable)

you use boxers for amusement? 😱

How about a CD? Sure, they've got some early withdrawal penalties, but you can get (I believe) anywhere from 6 months up, so you should be able to find something that fits.
