A child star [Hook] that actually turned out like a normal person

No idea why but I was watching some clips from Hook (1991 film w/ Robin Williams as Peter Pan), and eventually was clicking around on the actor's names, when I clicked on the kid who played Peter's son, Jack. I expected to see something pertaining to drug problems, etc since let's face it, many child stars for some reason turn out poorly.

Anyway, much to my surprise, he did a lot with his
life: graduated from MIT, worked for missile defense for US Govt, got Juris Docorate degree, etc etc.

Just thought it was kind of interesting?? Probably not so I'll stick up a clip from Hook to save this thread 😀

I've always wanted to like Hook, but I just can't get past how bad it is.

Well I agree, but I was like 5 when I used to watch this all the time (no joking), so everytime I see it, it reminds me of being little, so I naturally love it.

Danica McKellar, the actress that played Winnie Cooper on the Wonder Years has a degree in mathematics and has written a couple books on teaching kids math.

The guy who played Chunk in The Goonies is an entertainment lawyer in LA. IIRC, he ran for a student gov't position as an undergrad and ran his campaign around his childhood picture and "Vote for Chunk!" caption.

I'm glad I Google'd her! 😀

The actor that played the kid in The Black Stallion had his car hit by an 18-wheeler and he ended up in the hospital for a very long time. After he got out, he got a trucking license and now drives an 18-wheeler.
