It's either accordion folded plastic with cloth over the outside, or it's plastic sections with spring-loaded something in between which keeps the parts from collapsing when you sit, but can be folded up.

I don't see how they make it supportive and comfortable though, if in fact it is. If the space between the sections is variable, that'd mean you're possibly sitting on something that feels like a bunch of cardboard edges side by side.

Strength in numbers? There's like a billion chairs in there. That probably helps with the stability.

it doesn't look comfortable to me, but it's damn cool, and it did support the weight of the two females even if they were skinny asian ones :) Whatever it is and however it feels to sit on it, it looks damn cool.

Pfft. I'm not impressed (it DOES look cool though).

Those two women together weigh about 200 pounds, AND the chair was not extended very far. IOW, all the "chairs" were bunched up together, providing strength.

They should've extended at about 6 feet and gotten a bunch of people to stand on it. Then I'd be impressed.

Ah, that's better. :D

it looked so fake, the low res video doesn't help so the blur or the moving chair makes it look video edited but when the 2nd girl went to go sit down the chair moved back a lil on her end which made it seem real
but that begs the question how stable is it? i understand it won't crush down because that is where the strength is but what will keep it from closing in the way it is supposed to

Uh...How does it matter that they're Asian?

You say it as if the chair would perform differently if the two people had full-sized eyes...
