A+ Certified?

It's a dummies test, just like the "network essentials" test.

So are you A+ Certified or a Dummy AthlonXP? 😉 😀 😛

<--Isn't A+ certified, but will be in the distant future as soon as I'm done studying 😱

Nope. I am pretty sure my 4 years as Corporate LAN admin is worth more to a potential employer than an A+ cert, considering the test cost upward of $250 and is basically a joke test.

Nope. Not a+ certified. Not even remotely interested in it either!

I do have MCP, MCP+I, MCSE, and MCSE+I though if that means anything...

what does the +I mean?

Yes I am, best study guide is having been even a light computer hobbiest for a short amount of time. If you read anandtech I can't believe you'd really need one.

Lovepig, you must be a multi-task expert, as everytime you reply to this thread, you appear offline 😕

Yep...

A lot of people claim that this is an easy test. It's not for those who have never had to troubleshoot a PC before. It's not exactly rocket-science, but there is definitely a lot of information and topics covered on the exam. I took the exam just after they added the Windows 2000 support on there. It made it more interesting at least. 😉

Don't you become a MCP on your way to becoming an MCSE?

So if you are a MCSE+I, then that automatically makes you an MCP, MCP+I, MCSE, and MCSE+I

Seems sort of redudant to list it that way, looks like you're trying to pad your resume. That's like somone with a Doctorate listing that they have an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate.

It is redundant....but most people who take certs do that because they like to brag about their accomplishments. They like having as many letters after their names as possible. 😉

touche! You got me.

It is redundant, and I hate it too! Microsoft insists on writing it that way on my little 'special' certified professional card. Trust me, only the only that matters is on my resume.
