Which of the tests do you think is the hardest, and what should I expect when I take them?

I would say the hardware part is the hardest since the questions refer to antiquated components that date back to the punch card machines..

well not quite but close to it.

the test was quite focused on minute details on hardware...this was a year ago...they have since revamped the test with more modern technology I believe. I'm sure most of the memory addresses, laser printer, etc questions are still there. Just memorize that and you should be ok.

go get a book too if u really plan on taking the test. they actually help fill in the gaps that you don't know.

So you're saying they might put questions like "what is the exact addresses of a sound card that is a creative product?" Or something like that?

the Windows part can be frustrating too, I took mine in Jan 2000 and the hardest part for me was remambering the IRQs that were assigned to each device. Get the Exam Cram book, they are great cause they only cover the onfo you need to know. A good refresher. Good luck!!

One step ahead of you. So far I'm reading the core tech part for the 5th time. I'm glad I know most of my IRQ's. :D

On the OS test do they even include UNIX based systems? I'm sure they do, but just wanted to know if I need to study Linux or something.

There are loads of sites about it on the net, its just been changed so they got rid of a lot of the older info on the test.
