What's your thought on the best way to study and take the A+ Certification?

Are there any great online sites to do this?

Not highly technical. You'll likely get a better response in Networking or Operating Systems.

I think it would be worth getting just for the piece of paper.. It will not impress IT professionals but it's a start.

Having the A+ cert is more likely to help you get your foot in the door and past the HR folks, than it is for any kind of impressiveness.

If you've been a tech for any length of time and are reasonably familiar with current tech, it's a relatively easy test(s) to pass.
