I hope all of you had a great thanksgiving. I'm just neffing here and thought I'd just share something random.

A Beautiful Mind soundtrack is absolutly beautiful. I love film scores because they have that charisma to totally immerse you into the environment its movie creates. I must say this particular ST is absolutely breath taking. You could almost feel the characters' suffering and love...

I am also fond of Hans Zimmer's work: Lion King, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, etc..

What else do you recommend? Braveheart was awesome..

[edit] I strongly suggest you check these out:
Vide Cor Meum (Hannibal)
Now We Are Free (Gladiator)
Ashes to Ashes (Black Hawk Down)
King of Priderock (Lion King)
*all orchestrated & composed by Hans Zimmer

I would tend to agree, but I would need 4 or 5 to get the effect you speek of. ;)

Though it's certainly different than the soundtracks you mentioned, I highly recommend the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. It's by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos quartet, plus assorted electronic sounds.

Also, there is an orchestral version of the main theme that was recorded for the Two Towers trailer that's incredible. It's available on your favorite file sharing program.
