Likewise. Please explain what NV did to cripple AMD results... Don't be shy... details... details... details...

YOU are the one calling for the boycott, the burden of proof is on YOU.

In what instance is a HD 5850 almost equal to a HD 6970 while the GTX 560 is much better than both, better than the HD 5970 (!) and in the same time better than the GTX 460 which is better than the HD 6970? What's that, benchmarks on acid, coincidence or Nvidia's hand?

Can you explain the bench or not? Please enlighten us. How come a GTX 460/768 is better in full HD than a HD5870? Can you explain the minimal differences between the AMD cards as opposed to the Nvidia ones?

It's not like game developers didn't do this before:
http://www.techpowerup.com/104868/B...nables-AA-Only-on-NVIDIA-Hardware-on-PCs.html
who cares about the (ignorant) customers anyway?

You do realize the collectors edition of this has AA enabled for ATI cards right? Keep fighting the power brotha!

It has been proven several times that those games that are under the TWIMTBP program, tend to run strange on AMD hardware, but not enough to make the game unplayable. Lost Planet 1 when it was released, ran like crap on the HD 2900XT, during time it got improved thanks to better drivers, the same thing happened with Need for Speed Shift 1, but got fixed with a patch, Batman AA also got fixed on the GOTY edition. HAWX 2 and Lost Planet 2 simply uses Tessellation in a innefficient way that simply kills the performance on AMD hardware when Tessellation is used, and yet, I scored over 86fps with HAWX 2 maxed at 1920x1080 on the benchmark, not a big deal. Lost Planet 2 was barely playable at max settings, that game is severely crippled on AMD hardware.

Correlation does not imply causality.

Code:
#include <stdio.h>
void main(void)
{
If (NVIDIA > AMD)
     {
         printf("biased benchmark.\n");

     }

}

Some people don't understand how much drivers can affect performance. The OP is one of these people.

I wonder if he feels the same way with similarity clocked CPU's from AMD and Intel?, as they dont have the same IPC, architecture or performance either.

This thread is for the ATI/AMD owners not a mud contest. If some software developers don't like our hardware then we don't like their software, period. Adobe's playback engine doesn't like my expensive FirePro? Good, I won't buy that, I'll buy something else. Do you give me CPU Physx in that game? No? Go take a hike.

I don't like that Nvidia splashscreen at the beginning of my game. I paid for the game so no commercials please. No? Then no more money for ya.

It's just as simple as that. It's called free market.

If you had 10 "Office" type apps. and they all ran pretty comparable except one ran at 1/2 the speed on an Intel CPU, and it happened to be partially written/funded by AMD what conclusion would you come to?

That's your opinion, but as a fellow AMD/ATI owner (4870, 6850) I'm free to ignore it and go back to enjoying good games.

Have fun with your minesweeper.

If they ran at similar speeds on release, then a chipset hotfix released by AMD made it run faster, my conclusion would be that AMD has a better development team.

As an AMD/ATI owner, and fan of their cards, I see this as kinda silly.

The whole nvidia TTIMTBP and "runs best on INTEL" ads in the beginning of some games is a little annoying for reasons already mentioned, but whatever.

That scenario is fine. What if that wasn't the case though? What if AMD tried to get that app used in Intel reviews when being compared to their CPU, like HAWX2? Knowing full well it would skew the results.

Yea, I hate movies that have previews that won't allow you to skip through, but it's not the end of the world.

I am all for Nvidia, AMD, or whoever working with a developer to make something run better on their hardware. I don't care much for crippling, though. But I do not think what was posted in the OP is evidence of crippling so much as it is very possibly driver bugs and/or Nvidia optimizations.

It was okay for you to sling mud about NVIDIA, Anandtech credibility, and this forum in general with no facts to back it up, but not okay for us to call you on it?

You have a right to make your purchasing decisions based on whatever criteria you choose, no one is denying you that.

However, you are calling for a boycott based on ascertain of wrongdoing. This is a little bit different because you are not only making your own choices, but attempting to influence others. You might consider having some facts to back up your claims if you expect anyone to take you seriously.

Okay the OP is a raving lunatic but hes brought up one valid point, why does civilization 5 suck so much with AMD cards? I thought it was heavily CPU dependant but it seems to be stuck at around 30 odd FPS with the AMD stuff. Did any recent patches address this?
