For those using the stats - you're aware of the dandy job GeoffS has done for the TeAms.

Most teams in DC have little or no stats reporting. TA has SEVEN thoroughly "statted" projects thanks to some very generous donated time, hardware, and bandwidth. These stats are used by both TA - and many, many other teams as well - because? Frankly - they're better than the "official" stats!

Geoff is presently running stats for the following projects: found here

Community TSC *ACTIVE*
D²OL (Drug Design Optimization Lab) *ACTIVE*
DPAD (Distributed Particle Accelerator Design) *ACTIVE*
Lifemapper *ACTIVE*
SB (Seventeen or Bust) *ACTIVE*
SETI@home *ACTIVE*
UD (United Devices) *ACTIVE*

It looks for all the world like he's "eyeballing" F@H stats now as well! :Q

This collection of VERY professional stats have simply been provided out of the goodness of his heart. Since he's a little too shy to just come out and ask - and since I'm not the LEAST BIT shy...
I'll ask.

Many of us are benefitting from Geoff's generosity. It's now time to give back.

Even a dollar will make a difference!

This community has always pulled together in times of need. The stats have got to be some of the best we've EVER had for any project. I'd think that a massive influx of assistance from our membership would be a fine "thank you" for all the work and bandwidth, and effort that Geoff has put forth.

If you agree - your kind assistance would be most appreciated. :)

Indeed Dan! Can't agree with you more! ;) Geoff has put a lot of time into those awesome stats, and after all, he did it for the TeAm! :D

I will have to wait till I get home today to check it out. The port is blocked here.

Of course, I will help out.

Donated!!

Hopefully Geoff will have enough to buy a nice machine and not have to work quite so hard making stats and keeping the server running at the same time;)

Thanks very much you guys... outpourings from the group are always touching! In about 12 hours or so, $175 has been donated. I'm trying to send emails to each contributor, but I'm a bit behind! :) I just need to open a new checking account to link the paypal acct to (apparently you can't have two paypal accounts hooked to the same checking account!) before I can even accept the money... I expect to do that today. This covers the rig from Baldy18, now on to the controller, a couple of more drives, and maybe a decent PSU! :)

Thanks again guys... this really means a lot and I look forward to bettering everyone's stats experience! ;)

No problem Geoff...thanks for the great stats.

Can't you transfer funds in between the two paypal accounts, I think you can also request a check, instead of opening up a new checking account.

Thanks again

Since the account is not verified yet, I can't claim the funds to do the transfer... that should be fixed today :)

Hey Geoff -

Since you ARE a stats geek, and we ARE stats whxres, :Q - how about a running tally on your "upgrade" page that shows the total # of contributions, and the dollar amount?

If you REALLY wanted to get "kinky" - you could determine the prices of the planned upgrades, and graph the progress toward them. ;)

lol... I'll go update the page... I can't put a price on some of the parts... I saw a Promise TX4 RAID card for $40... that's much less than new, but seems to be what I need unless I want to go SCSI... I suspect SCSI RAID will cost a whole lot more! :)

It may be worth it to go SCSI RAID on a system that is getting hit this hard. Give it time... no telling how much you will pick up.
