a C3 933mhz chip is equivolent to?

Performance wise... what AMD/Intel chip would it resemble? And considering it runs so cool, what's its overclocking potential?

I've never overclocked a C3 before, so I wouldn't know (but they indeed run a pretty low temps).

Depending on the application you're using, I'd say a 933MHz C3 is about equivilent to a 750-800MHz PIII processor.

In some of the reviews I posted, it gets wooped by an 850mhz celery! :Q If you aren't gonna use it for anything intensive, than I think it could be used as a nice little computer - expecially after being paired up with the Shuttle mini PC case/mobo 🙂

I have a K7 1.33, so no way am even going to come close to that chip. But i was thinking that my sister's computer (K6-233) could use an upgrade... it's too slow esp when she wants to use AIM, Hotmail, and play Mp3s. Perhaps I should just get a duron, easier to upgrade and more performance...plus cheap as dirt.

I'd get her either a duron or a tualeron. In this case stability is more important than speed so I'd pay more attention to finding a rock stable mobo than the CPU

gaming performance it is very low, it has an extremely fpu, and handles games like k6-2s. Its other processing areas are decent, but not fantastic. I beleive a .13 P3 or celeron would run close to as cool.
