Stuck between these 2 units. Both 10,000 BTU In-Window units.

The Friedrich is about $60 more, but it has a better energy rating (10.8 vs 9.8). I think it might be quieter as well (not to mention is has 6 speeds vs. 3).

Anyone have any experience with both brands or either one?

Friedrich seems to have a slight edge on quality Vs Frigidaire now.

Much of the Friedrich parts are still made in America while most of the Frigidaire is cheaper foreign parts.

At least they are a bit better than the HAIER which is 100% made in China.

Used to stay in an apartment that had a Friedrich, great A/C, it had a sensor on it, so it would kick on when needed, not run all the damn time like most of them. I would rather pay a little more for the Friedrich.

Always buy the highest efficiency air conditioner that you can. The savings always cover the cost premium.
