a/c ducts (in house) clicking

wtf would cause this... it seems like it's coming from the vent cover itself or something... hard to explain.. but when the a/c turns off there's a loud clicking/light banging noise that starts out fast and slows down... clickclickclick. click.. click... click.......click...........

It's the skelaton of that pet gerbil you lost last winter, flopping around on the blower. As the blower slows it just keeps riding to the top, then click, hits the bottom, over and over and over. You should have taken better care of your pet.

It's jesus. He's come back, but is stuck in your air vent. He's been surviving by drinking the condensation droplets and luring small birds and rats into your a/c system and eating them raw. He only taps when you turn it off so that you'll be able to hear him better.

bbbbbbooorrrrrriiiiinnnngggggg. You can do better than that.

what i meant to say was that the demons in the ducts get grouchy when they are cold, so they fidgit and cause the duct to expand. when it gets warm, they settle down.
...i thought that was implied.

Those clicks you hear are the sounds of the various relays engaging to seal off their respective portions of the duct so that any stale a/c air that might be left in there can't escape into your house.
