A/C Compressor pully seized

Ugh, my A/C compressor pulley seized up this morning I tried disconnecting power to the compressor to disengage the clutch, but it still doesn't spin. Doesn't look like I can get a smaller belt and re-route either, because the belt tensioner sits between the crankshaft and compressor. This is 1995 Thunderbird LX. Paying to get a new compressor and have it installed will cost more than the car is worth so I don't really want to spend the much, and I can live without A/C. I plan on getting rid of the car next year once I've saved up for a down payment. Any idea's or suggestions that won't cost too much?

Sounds like just the clutch. You can pull the clutch off and replace it without replacing the compressor. AZ has rent a tools to pull it off.

Check AZ/ADV/Rockauto for the part.

You're probably going to have to find another compressor that's maybe dead, just to use it for belt routing. Or somehow get yours to free spin. Other than that you'll have to find a way to make a shorter belt work.

You can also buy a dummy bypass pulley usually for $30-40 at an auto-place. That's what I did for my Riviera when it started making noise and the A/C stopped working (before it siezed).

$40 in my zipcode. You should be able to pull it off and do it yourself. IMO, you do not want to mess with a shorter belt.
