A Bunch of Car Questions

1)What is the proper way to apply scotch guard fabric and upholstery? Seems like the directions are kinda bad. Should i worry that it'll ruin the fabric of my car?

2)i bought armorall original protectant for my dash and console and front of my car, was this the right kind?

3)is there anyway to get anything that actually smells like the new car scent? i love that lol...

4)where can i buy plastic screws for my license plate (one broke)?

5)whats the best way to clean your car? someone told me not to use dish soap because it'll streak your paint. basically, whats safe and whats not?

6)how the hell can i get rid of the stickiness of the dealership stickers?

7)any other tips for caring for my car?

Armorall is alright, there are better products out there. I use 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Use goo-be-gone to get rid of sticky residue.

Don't use dish soap, it strips off all of the wax.

oh, i just went to walmart to buy some stuff and picked these things up. didn't see anything like that there.

you think its okay if i used some dish soap (the foamy kind) to clean some bird poop and then rinsed it off really fast?

Yeah, get the bird poop off asap. It can mess up your paint. Normally, you don't use dish soap because, like the previous poster said, it strips off the wax. If you go to any automotive department, they should have car washing detergent.

1) Never used scotch guard before so I don't know. Sorry

2) Armorall is useless, use aerospace 303 or Vinylex. Aerospace 303 doesn't leave the dash all shiney but it protects very well.

3) Not much you can do aside of buying an air freshner with new car scent unless you replace all the interior.

4) Most auto parts store carry screw kits for license plate frames.

Good Car wash shampoo (meguiars gold class works great), sheepskin wash mit, some microfiber drying towels,

6) Goo gone and a soft towel (probably should rinse off the residue quickly after since it could be toxic to paint)

i kinda feel like this is overkill for an 07 camry, if i buy all these really expensive products to clean it...damn money lol.

First time I bought aerospace 303 was online but just recently I found it at Kragen autoparts and even some car dealerships have it on shelf. It's kind of expensive something like 14 dollars for a 16oz spray bottle.

alright, i think i'll just use this and then buy that from the internet. theres only like 25 wipes or something. it was only a few bucks.

I usually keep a bottle of detailing spray and a couple of microfiber towels in my storage compartment incase of a bird crap accident while i'm at work or something.
