First of all , I am runnign this at 1.85 on an ABIT KT7A.(145x10) THe CPU is stable for all apps except prime95 at 1450. SO what I did was lowered the FSB to 138 x10.5 but to my surpise the system locks HARD as it gets into windows. Anyone know why? I even waited until the temps cooled down? I can run at 145x10 and not 138 x 10.5. Very ,very odd.
A second issue, remember I posted about not being able to do prime95 at 1450. Well I lowered it to 1420 and it does prime95 24 hours straight at 45c full load. But now it crashes on very simple appas like the Radeon Tv tuner and NBA 2k1. Please also note the video card is not overclaocked and the IO voltage is the same in all cases. So what it boils down to is at 1420, I can do Prime95 like crazy but my TV tuner and NBA 2k 1 crashes but at 1450(1450x10) I can run the TV tuner fine, games fine and all other stability tests except prime95. But I can't do 1450 at 138fsb.
I am a pretty expert user so I have exhausted all resons, I need some feedback. WTF is going on? =)
