I have to get a PDA for my uni. So far ive narroved it down to these 5. Which one would you say is the best? On a side note, would a palm be better than a PDA using windows pocket edition? What about games/apps? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Buzzzzz!! None of the above!! Get a Dell Axim x50v. With the Dell coupon codes you can get the x50v kit at 30 to 40% off. Dell Home has 30% off the x50v kit ( PDA, extra battery ( you'll need it ), WM2005 upgrade, 2 year warranty ) now for $418. The Bluetooth GPS kit is 35% off. If you want a PDA that will play Divx video, have VGA resolution for net-surfing, etc. this is the one you need. Visit Aximsite for information on Dell Axim PDA's and get the GAPI tweak, which improves graphics performance above and beyond the iPaq hx47xx. PalmOS is dead application / game wise, so stick with Windows Mobile. I own an x50v, so I guess I have a biased opinion, but I can also play my 720/640 x 480 Divx video encoded with my PC on the Ax w/o problems. 🙂 You can also get PocketMusic and your favorite WinAmp Classic skins to play mp3s.

The neatest use for my Ax ( becides finding HotSpots and GeoCaching 🙂 ) is using it as a preview monitor when I am in the field taking pictures with my Canon 20d. I just put the CF card from my camera in the Ax and view the pics. True VGA is a big plus here.

i'm a HUGE fan of the palm treo 650. the reason why i specifically mention 650 is because it has a much better screen (high-res color!) and bluetooth. there are several other reasons. you would definitely get some useful information from www.treocentral.com and its forums (which are pretty busy!)
