A bit of New Monitor Help Needed

I'm planning on buying a new computer soon, but i put that on hold till Vanguard SOH gets closer to release. But i really want to get myself a new monitor, cause mine is pretty old and lacking.
I want to get a 19" LCD and i was hoping you people could offer suggestions of brands or perhaps even Hot Deals that were spotted.
I have been looking into it myself, but wanted to hear from some people who have had a bit more monitor experience with the different Brands.

just got my samsung 940b two days ago, took me some time to get the color and brightness right, simply awesome, sure it cost more than other similar models, but the qulity is just better, get it and you wont be disapointed

i'd just pick something with a quick response time like 6ms or 8ms. Then around 500:1 or higher contrast ratio. Then i'd buy it from someone with a good dead pixel policy. Or from someone on the forums.

Don't forget 8-bit panel, not 6-bit. A lot of the supposedly fast response time LCDs are 6-bit and thus cannot display all colors quite right. Also watch out for the BS response ratings. I wouldn't believe anything less than 8ms and generally not less than 12ms.

Samsung 970P, ViewSonic VP930b, Samsung 940b. Whichever one fits your price range. But what will be the use of this monitor? Gaming? Tons of word processing/spreadsheets? etc...

Samsung SyncMaster 913N
You cant do anythign wrong with buying this.
Not overpriced, but still all the neccecarry values for high profile gaming fun. 🙂

700:1 Contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness, 8ms (b\w) and 160°\160° view angle.
If you need a digial input than go with the 940b suggested above, but that will cost you easy 50 bucks more.
