"I don't think I would take a 5- or 6-year-old to this," Lucas said in a CBS "60 Minutes" interview set for broadcast Sunday. "My feeling is that it will probably be a PG-13, so it will be the first 'Star Wars' that's a PG-13."

What a moron. First he craps the well liked series up bad that only toddlers can still like it, then he turns it dark so he can alienate that final section of his audience as well.

No one cares much anymore. He saturated the market with so much crap that the symbolic significance of Star Wars is nothing more than a farce now . . ..

The latest trilogy is what happens if the architect insists on becoming the engineer I suppose. Then again, I'm not so sure Lucas even qualifies as a real "architect" in this case. As much as his filmmaking "skills" suck at least I can somewhat salvage the (a) lightsaber battles and (b) scenes of Coruscant.

it's his refusal to hire writers and do ALL the writing himself that sucks.

I dunno. As much as I have wet dreams about torturing jar jar to death, if EP3 is good I will forgive Lucas his sins.

am the only person who thinks people should stop their whining about this???

Obviously he is doing something right since Stars Wars has been a house hold term for awhile now...

More importantly, they are his movies to do whatever he pleases with...once you make 6 megamillion dollar movies, you can decide if you want to re-release them or add anything to them (or not)...

And really, how much did the special editions really change the movie? Darth Vader is still Luke's dad and he dies in the end...(may need a spoiler alert for this one:D)

and to conclude: It's just a frickin' movie...get over it....

\end of rant...now putting on flamesuit...

YES! right on the money. But to add, He doesn't qualifiy as a architect.

We should start a boycott on the last movie.

This is like arguing that Beethoven's 5th symphony would be better if Mozart wrote the middle part.

Way ahead of you, The only "new" SW I have seen is that annonying one with jar jar. I had to rewatch all three classics to try to erase that crap from memory.

All star wars movies that he directed sucked, and then he needed to go back and reedit the 2 old ones that he didn't direct and destroy them too.

steven spielberg could have done such a better job. I feel that i have been cheated out of 3 good star wars movies since lucas started directing.

rant:\exit

How are you going to judge the 3rd movie before you can even see it?

I think Sode III looks frickin' awesome. See it or don't but don't judge it until you have.
