When you go back to China, go to one of the soldiers or police officers and yell.. "Chinese government sucks!!!"..

When you get back to USA after several years in Chinese prison, do the same thing and yell at an American officer "American Government sucks!!!"..

Let me know if you can see the difference..

oh wait, you're right, all the videos of Chinese government crushing the student "uprising" was fake and made up.

And let's talk about their religious freedom too... as long as you're not in Falun Gong.

if I'm stupid then you're a moron for thinking that China got better after that uprising. Oh wait, The 1989 Tiananmen Square Protest happend in 89, I wouldn't call that mid 80's.

What are you the offical PR person for the Chinese Communist party? Why don't you go back to China if it is such a paradise? Why are you here?

Hmmm. Obviously not on the same overt wave length, but you can see it's fairly blatant control that is exercised over the Chinese citizens. I'm sure you can pull a tidy sum working as the Commie PR rep.

Yes I have, what is your point? You have no rebuttal so you come back with that? They are classic anti-china argument because they work well, that's why they're classic.

My friend Rudy, who's from Hong Kong who went with me to Guangdong countryside to do some biking almost got robbed, which I blame on him instead of China government becuase he was riding a brand new mountain bike and flaunting his money.

But the bad taste in my mouth came when the people's police wanted a 'bribe' to help tracking down the bandits who was chasing him.

Do we all need to head to south africa to experience the HIV/AIDs epidemic first hand, or can we rely on crediable news sources to provide some sort of insight into the history and recent events to give us a good picture on how it is progressing.

----
Per our friends at the wikipedia:

Although the human rights situation in mainland China has improved markedly since the 1960s (the 2004 Constitutional amendments specifically stressed that the State protects human rights), the government remains authoritarian and determined to prevent any organized opposition to its rule such as Tibetan and Xinjiang separatists. Amnesty International estimates that the PRC holds several thousand political prisoners. Although illegal, there have been reports of torture by civil authorities.

Wow that's sounds FANTASTIC...

Ok, I'll buy that, I have no problem with many aspects of China, It is beautiful, very nice place to visit, I just don't like the Communist party and the heavy handed tactics of the Chinese government.

because you can't own guns in china. when people had guns back then, they shot each other silly, all in the name of chairman mao. my uncle has a gun, but that's because he works security for a bank. and as for the massage parlor, AMEN

Posting a comment like ROFLMAOTSETUNG would probably be inappropriate.
Seriously: if you can quit the communist party unharmed, the situation could be worse. Calling China (or any other country) a "communist" country is just stupid, anyway.
