I haven't had a Heineken that didn't taste like it had sat in the sun for a full year before being opened. Just skunked tasting beyond belief.
I'd gladly take a Budweiser over that stuff.
That really is the sensation i got from it. Skunk tasting, bitter, and foul.

I think people only order and drink Heineken to make it appear that they are more "sophisticated" or whatever term you would like to use. That beer is nothing short of 100% ass.

I agree.
When I see people drinking Heineken, I immediately think they're doing it for the perceived snob factor. It's a foreign beer and they can regale their friends with their knowledge of the finer things, while putting down people who aren't as sophisticated.
You can't buy class.

I've been going on a Delerium (Tremens and Nocturnum) binge recently.

you think so? As you said stouts are a bit too filling to drink at first, I usually go for an Ale or IPA before the dark stuff (porter or stout).

that's quite an expensive binge 🙂 btw, what's the difference between the two Dilerium?

Tremens is a pale ale, Nocturnum is a dark. I like the Tremens better, you can taste the alcohol more in the Nocturnum which is a little too much sometimes. Apparently they also make a Noel too so I have to see if my beer guy can get me a case.

A few moments ago i had a few heinekens. I very rarely go for a beer. I have had quite a bit of cogniac in the pasted and love the flavor there. Why does this heineken taste like crap? From what people said it was suppose to be one of the better beers.
Blah, disappointed.
I don't like Hiney much. Good enough to pass, but will order something better if they have it. Better than Bud.

If you like cogniac I'd strongly recommend Gouden Carolus, Noel (the seasonal winter brew). They're brewed in cogniac casks 🙂. Also, I believe Alagash Four is brewed in cogniac casks as well. I'm also a cogniac fan; especially in the winter.
