A beer experiance

A few moments ago i had a few heinekens. I very rarely go for a beer. I have had quite a bit of cogniac in the pasted and love the flavor there. Why does this heineken taste like crap? From what people said it was suppose to be one of the better beers.

Blah, disappointed.

A few minutes ago I drank a Gorilla Bottle. I very often go for Beer. I have had quite a mindnumbing experience tripping around in wet shoes. Why are my shoes wet? From what people said it was because I was riding in the slush.

Blah' all in good funn.

Im not so much of an optimist 🙂

I don't mind Heineken, it's alright. Tried a Guinness 1.5 months ago and felt the same way about it that you feel about Heiny. It's all a matter of preference, but part of the reason that Heiny is so well liked might be from people just having a different beer after years of drinking really poor beer(just a theory).

Personally I used to like a local Beer(Kokanee) and thought it was great, but after trying some other beers and not having Kokanee for a few years, one time I decided to get a Kokanee, it tasted like ass. I was shocked how little I liked it anymore and wondered why I liked it in the first place.

either someone was trying to unload their crap beer on you or you were at a vietnamese bbq

What did you expect? It's a more refined version of domestic light beers which is not something to get excited about in my book. If you enjoy Cogniac go back to drinking it.

laughin' & gigglin', sippin' on a Heiney... son you need a tictac your breath is gonna blind me!

say, is that the French spelling of 'experience'?

I don't like Hiney much. Good enough to pass, but will order something better if they have it. Better than Bud.

If you like cogniac I'd strongly recommend Gouden Carolus, Noel (the seasonal winter brew). They're brewed in cogniac casks 🙂. Also, I believe Alagash Four is brewed in cogniac casks as well. I'm also a cogniac fan; especially in the winter.

Try Grolsch next time, if you like Dutch beers. 🙂

No preference on beers yet, i dont drink enough of it all to have one. All the same to me at this point in time 🙁

as a beer lover let me just say that heineken is comparable to budweiser or pabst blue ribbon

if you want a good beer go for a higher priced belgium and your odds of getting something bad are very slim.

I should tell my father about those. He usually does a group buy of the stuff with his old restraunt buddies and snags a case. I've only had the martell vsop cognac. What do you think of that one if you have tried it?

Heineken was good back in the days before micro-brew American beer arrived & when other imported beer was both really expensive & hard to find in most stores..
these days it suffers by comparision to a wide variety of much better brew, but even back in the day I used to buy Becks instead!

not sure about all these german brands, but I don't like Heini either. I'm still a bud light baby, but I'll try new stuff. I stomached down some guiness and other dark locally brewed, but it's not for me.

i think any bartender/people who drink beer on any sort of regular basis...any beer authority

will tell you that heiny is probalby one of the worst.

Personally, I can't stand it...from what I remember the last one I had ...had such a horrible metallic aftertaste...ugh.

and guinness off the tap is sooooo good.

I like guinness either way, but it takes me a long time to finish a guinness out of the bottle...really difficult for me to drink, but off the tap it's so smooth.

I have got to try some from a microbrewy. Im curious about how much of a difference there is,

I haven't had a Heineken that didn't taste like it had sat in the sun for a full year before being opened. Just skunked tasting beyond belief.

I'd gladly take a Budweiser over that stuff.
