Im about do get them. What would be the best route to go? Take classes? Get books? If books, which ones do you recommend?

The classes here are Nashville Tech run $675 and they last for about a month for both. IS that worth it?

Thanks in advance.

Get some study guides and do it yourself. Books should cost you $40.00 give or take a little. No need to spend a lot of money on something you should be able to accomplish yourself quite easily.

Those got pretty mixed reviews on Amazon. Do you think these are seriously the best ones to get?

Exam cram / Sybex / Michael Myers Passport series are all fine.

Its a good start with the A+ and N+. It'll get your foot into the door.

Buy the books and study for it, shouldn't be too hard.

Anyone actually taken the A+ test recently? Just wondering how updated it really is. We have online training at work but it seems kind of old and talks about installing a DVD drive and needinga special decoded card and all kinds of stuff. Not sure how much is relavant anymore. Or do the test really go back to lots of useless stuff like that?

I think they recently revamped it and made it just a tad bit harder.
