When i play bf2 on normal video it runs find but when i put it on high it takes over a gig o memory is that right.

I have 2 gig and run most things on high. If you upgrade 2 gig is what you want.

You can't tell the difference between normal and high in BF2, just leave it at normal video settings.

This may depend on whether you have a 128MB or 256MB video card. I think with a 128MB card the textures - high setting uses smaller textures than the same setting running a 256mb card. It seems like it is most likely that you will feel 1GB is not enough if you are running the game with textures set to high on a 256mb card. (Though not everyone with a 256mb card will agree with this.)
