D.C. police are looking for a missing 7-year-old boy who may need medical attention.
Katrina Kingsbury says her son, Michael, was last seen Sunday between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the alley near their home in the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue northeast.
Michael Kingsbury is described as black with his hair in dreadlocks, approximately 4 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 60 pounds. He was last seen wearing only a diaper. Katrina Kingsbury says it’s not like her son to wander away.
Police searched abandoned buildings and sheds Sunday, but did not find the boy.

WTH?!?! All of my kids have been trained by the time they were three. He is 7 and still wearing a diaper?

That said, I hope they find the kid and the person who took him
(assuming the kid did not just wander off)

disappoint

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Why on EARTH would they not put that bit of information in the article when its posted? Seems important to me.. Regardless, thank you for finding that out.

Media outlets are in a race with each other to "break" a story first, facts be damned. Or you could just say that it's an intentional deletion by the right winging Fox news media painting a minority in a poor light.

I am doubtful of that in this case, but only because I think it would have been easier to paint the parents of an autistic child as being bad/neglectful of the child by simply saying they let their 7 year old autistic child wander off in just a diaper.

Maybe not, but I would think if they wanted to make the parents look bad, they have facts to try to do it if they spin it right.

Or maybe they assume intelligent people will realize that a seven year old still in diapers likely has physical or mental issues requiring it. Diapers aren't cheap or easy for either the parent or child.
