a 3.2MP digital camera taking a 2.0 mega .....

Both Olympus. I don't remember the 3.2MP model. 2.0MP model is a Olympus D-380.

will they be the same if the 3.2 MP digital camera is taking a 2.0MP(1600*1200) photo where D-380 taking 2.0MP(its max reslution)
will they be the same?

will D-380 has the color as deep/rich as the 3.2MP model?

once again, 3.2MP model taking a 2.0MP photo.

I think it is almost impossible to say without the model numbers. Have you looked for reviews or any comparisons of the 2 cameras? With that said nothing says that a 2MP camera cant take a picture as well if not nicer than a 3.2MP camera and same with the 3.2MP at 2mp. The 3.2MP camera is likely a newer and/or higher level camera that is more advanced in how it takes pictures and may yield better results. Still, many companies end up somehow producing products that were inferior to their previous ones. Try to find reviews of both.
