Im sorta on the market when this CRT decides to die. That can be 10 years from now or today. However I can't go down on resolution, Ive used 2304res for over 10 years, Its small but I love it.

Soo firstly I need same res or higher which is 2560res. Also I dont want jittery screen I want 120hz refresh rate vsynch on.

Is there such a monitor, if so lead me to it let me check it out. Thank you all

I wanna say you can buy a TV with 120hz refresh rate...but as far the resolution, i'm unsure....let me do some research.

Thanks RavenSeal . Ya the problem is a TV is not the same as a pc monitor the pixels are bigger and text font is not as nice, alto pictures are ok. Is this what people do now adays just buy a TV as their PC monitor ? But that resolution of 1080p is not enough, As I said I can't downgrade res after 10 years of getting used to it. Soo I need that high res for shure, But a TV just wouldnt do justice, It needs to be a PC only monitor. What about the Apple 27" but I think its 999 dollars ouchie!

Only one newegg has in stock isn't any better.

30", 2560 x 1600 and $1,279.99. vertical is @ 60hz, horizontal @ 100hz.

I think you have to decide what's more important, refesh rate or resolution. Refresh rate, you're better off buying a actual TV, most of them are capped @ 1920*1080. For resolution, well...either the apple or the hp. I'll try to find more info in a bit.

Sell the old crt to me. 🙂

Neither dual-link DVI nor HDMI 1.4 have enough bandwidth to support such a mode. Only Display Port has enough for 2560x1600 @ 120Hz (but just barely). Also, this mode is not present in any standards. So I wouldn't bet on such a monitor showing up in the foreseeable future.

This.

2560x1600 @ 120 Hz is more of a bandwidth issue than anything else.

Dammit.Exactly.Is'nt this also the reason why no 1920x1200@120hz?Call me lost, but this is the exact reason i am hesitating to go to a new 120hz lcd.Lack of size at 120.This needs to happen,NOW.As well, someone like Iz3d taking hold of it for 3rd party compatibility with 3d+AMD.

Well Apple's 27" is 2560x1440 (16:9 instead of 16:10).
I'd imagine someone eventually might make a 120Hz 2560x1440 27" LCD, but maybe not quite yet.
