A 2 pack of TVs? (Edit: Model numbers added)

Not quite a four-pack of pianos.

Anyone know anything about these TVs? I'm interested in the 58". Guess that normally goes for 2k-ish. What'd the 46" be worth? Just wondering if this is actually a good deal, and what someone should pay for the 46". I've got a couple friends that may be interested in this, and we're trying to figure out how to split it up. Was thinking maybe like $875/$1625, and then we'd pay tax (lovely CA sales tax) on our shares. That's just a starting point though.

The 58" is this: PN58A550

And I think the 46" LCD is this: LN46B540

Thoughts? Are these even quality TVs?

The Plasma is last years TV and the LCD looks like it might be a 2009, but I cannot tell since they don't list its model #. This deal is by no means bad considering 900 for a 46" and 1600 for a Plasma is a very good deal for either.

Looking at 2009 models, a 58" Samsung plasma is about $1900 at best and the 46" LCD would be around $1300, but the 2009 would be better TV's.

I was at Costco Sunday, and took a look at the 50" version of the plasma, and I agree with this review. It looked very good until I saw the panny 3 sets down from it. The difference in picture quality between the two sets was quite vivid. I don't recall the model of the panny, other than to know it wasn't the new G10 or V10 model. The only reason I went down the isle was to see if they had any of the G10 or V10 models, and sadly they didn't.

At your $1600 price point, the Samsung is not bad, but it can't compare to Panasonic. Thinking about it, I'm going to guess that the set I saw was a TC-P50S1. They've been out for a while. You need to take a look at both, and see what you think.
