Isn't that something? My friend had two PC133 512MB SDRAMs lying around for a year. I did not find out till yesterday. The best thing is it's only $60 for both sticks. I guess I can have more windows open for my pics. :)

At work there is a 450 MHz P2 with 640 MB ram. Back then I think the memory cost several grand...

What OS are you using? Windows 98\Me can have issues with systems that have more than 512 megs of RAM.

According to his sig, he have one with XP and one with ME. Since he is probably posting from that rig, its probably XP. :)

I'm running XP. My System Rigs haven't been updated for a while. They all say Win Me, but everything is XP now.
I'm just happy that I got 1GB for $60 instead of $200 from Crucial.com . I was thinking of another 256MB upgrade, but then my friend mentioned 1GB. I had to get it.

I really don't see anything special with 1GB. 256MB is fine, but why have 1GB lying around collecting dust, huh? :)

I've had 1 GB SDRAM with an 800 MHz Pentium3 system for a while now (bought the RAM in 2001 before memory prices went up).

It's my personal workstation, and the memory has been useful for me. I haven't been able to build a new rig, partly because DDR was relatively pricey, but a new system should be coming along RSN (real soon now).
