You just can't make this stuff up.

Police said Jordon Celovsky, 18, left 25 feet of burnout marks at the Super 8 Motel in Carlisle early Sunday morning.

The incident caused the motel to fill with smoke and forced the evacuation of more than 300 guests.

Celovsky, who is from West Mifflin, near Pittsburgh, is free on $100,000 bail.

OMG, it's like he killed somebody!!!

Yes; it was irresponsible, rude and just plain stupid of him to do (he is 18...). But $100K bail? WTF?>>>:Q

People accused of murder have the same or less bail!

Good point. I honestly didn't think of that. Leave it to the media to only report the facts that will irritate sportbike riders like me. 😀

People around here accused of murder have 2 million dollar bail or no bail at all...where do you live that they set the bails like that for murder?

Idiot. While that is excessive, doing a 25 foot burnout that required the evacuation of a motel is just fvcking dumb and you deserve what you get from that.

good. too bad they didn't just execute him at the scene. punk ass kids. too bad nobody will learn a damn thing from it.

if there's smoke in a stairwell someone probably pulled the fire alarm, which is why they evacuated the hotel. hence the high bail. plus he's a punk ass boy racer, they probably figured he'd seen 'torque' too many times and might try and run.

I agree; he needs an ass beating. He gives sportbike riders a bad name.

I would bet that alcohol and/or drugs were heavily involved too.

My point is the high bail. Just beat his ass, set his bike on fire and revoke his license for a year. No need for that BS high bail. It's pointless. Do you not want him out on the economy, lest he buy another bike and do it again? :Q ZOMG!!!

no i'm touchy on punk kids. everytime i see some dumbass doing a wheelie at 80+ mph on the highway i hope for a strong gust of wind. racing != acting like a jerkoff.

Bail is assessed largely on the odds of the person appearing for court. I'd guess he has numerous FTAs/FTPs. If it was assessed based solely on the burnout it could be an 8th amendment violation.

So, what you're saying is that possibly he was out on bail at the time he was arrested for this offense?

Exactly, show up for court and you get it all back. The size of bail really doesn't matter much. There are of course lost interest on having this money tied up, but that is a fairly minor problem.

That's not what I'm saying, but that could be a cause as well. If a person has a history of not showing up for court or not paying their fines, they will have greater odds of spending time in jail prior to trial.

$100k is a bullsh!t bail..

A 25ft burnout.. He'll probby get no significant charges against him - if the system is fair. If some guest pulled a fire alarm because he/she saw 'smoke', he/she is to blame. A burnout usually makes a very white plain smoke that smells like tires.. Only a total idiot would pull a fire alarm after witnessing a burnout.

I left a 20-30ft burnout mark at my work's parking lot a couple years ago.. My coworker left one too.. My boss told me 'nice burnout' the next day. And no one died..

No, a total idiot WOULDN'T pull the fire alarm if he saw a bunch of smoke
