_Restore folder

What the hell is this folder used for? It's taking up 44% of my 4 Gb C: drive partition!! I'm pretty sure I have the 'System Restore' feature disabled, but even if it were enabled, this is freakin rediculous!

OS: Win ME Upgrade from 98

Need to know anything else?

Yup, that's just junk that WinME backs up. I disabled it when I ran that OS for the few weeks I had it...it's pure junk, to me anyways. I only use Win2k now. I believe you can also set the amount of space System Restore uses, so it won't be a space hog.

Good luck!

I have another problem related to this....

My 'System Information' feature doesn't work. Neither does my 'System Restore' feature. So I'm what they call 'screwed'.

Is there an INI file or something that I can manually define the 'System Restore' size??

Thanks!

Open control panel-system properties-performance-file system,
then under-
troubleshooting- you can disable restore, or
hard disk- (use slider)you can set system restore disk space use.
If you have used up the space restore was alloted
you cant make anymore restore points.
