I hate to say it but my best one has been the delete key lately. If you get a good one post it here. I have had no luck with any I have tried.

Use spamhole when signing up for free stuff, surveys, etc...

www.sourceforge.org has a few good ones.

my fav is pop-file, it doesn't automatically delete spam but it uses a bayesian filter which we all know are the best when it comes to stopping spam.

Maybe you're thinking of Mailwasher The beta version adds support for hotmail and smtp authentication (previously I couldn't bounce messages). I'll have to give it another look.
