I'll post some films that have had a deep impact on me, and the way I view issues.

"Matewan"
A 1987 film about the 1920 "Matewan Massacre" of coal miners fighting for unionization and a better way of life.

"Cry Freedom"
Another 1987 film. This one about the life, struggle and death of South African activist Stephen Biko, and his fight against apartheid.

"Michael Collins"
A 1996 film about a leader in the Irish struggle to end British rule and domination in Ireland after the 1916 Easter Uprising

"To Kill A Mockingbird"
A 1962 film about growing up in the south with social and racial injustice.

The Deer Hunter
Not necessarily for their portrayal of Vietnam War, but just for the story and what happens to all of them.

Requiem for a Dream
Proves why addiction sucks.

There are many more movies that have affected me, as im a movie-holic, but im too tired/lazy to think of others right now.
