___ "Background Services" vs. "Programs"? ___ (Using XP)

Blain

I've setup a PC for my church to basically do nothing more than bookkeeping.

OS - Windows XP Home
CPU - XP 1500+ (1.33GHz)
RAM - 512mb PC133
HD - WD 8.4GB 5200rpm

I'm installing GoBack on the system for my own peace of mind. I've disabled the Windows system restore to avoid conflicts with GoBack.
Peachtree accounting will be the main program that will be used.

* I've got a question about the "Processor scheduling" feature in the Advanced "System Properties".
With GoBack thrashing away at the HD constantly to create its restore points, would choosing "Background services" be better for this PC than "Programs"?

* Should I select "System cache" instead of "Programs" for the "Memory usage" option?

Thanks

I haven't used GoBack in a while but I would imagine that it works fine with the default settings(ie.Programs) yes by using the background Mode it backs the Puter up faster but uses a lot of RAM so with 512MB, I would stick with the default...

Thanks.
I've got all the OS eye candy turned off, to give the RAM and CPU a fighting chance at keeping GoBack happy. 😉
