I'm trying to get some information on residential fuel cell systems.
Can someone tell me how to figure what my power requirements might be... kW?
* I would be switching my whole house over to electric.
* It's a single family home with nothing outrageous in the way of power consumption.
* My plans are to upgrade my electrical service to 200 amp.
* I live in Indiana, a state that requires electrical utility companies to buy excess power, generated by individuals.

Thanks :D

my uncle the house inspector swears you need 150 amp service. I think you can run 600 Watts for every 5 amps...so you need at the most 18,000 watts.

But you can probably get by with 100 amp or 125 amp service.

Collect your previous years worth of electrical bills, double it for a safety margin and go from there.
