__ Can I download Windows Updates for an OS other than the one doing the downloading? __

I'm using 2000 right now, but want to update ME on another machine. The ME version's IE isn't compatable with my cable account (so the tech support tells me). Since the ME won't/can't connect to the internet, I want to download a browser update for it using my 2000 machine.

Any help for a young boy lost in the woods? 😱

No matter which option I try... IE 6 or IE 6 SP1, I can only download the small setup file. With that file it connects and only loads what I need for the OS it's downloaded to. 🙁

This is what you need:

How to download IE6 in its entirety

During the process, you have the option of choosing which OS'es to install on. It includes Win98, ME, 2K, and XP.

Thanks a bunch! 😀

[Edit] Oops, I didn't get the two option choice 😱 I only got a Windows 2000 setup.
