9x optimized games playing on XP?

I used to be reeeally into Rainbow 6.. the other day I was cleaning out a closet and ran across my copy of R6 and figured I'd give it a shot and load it on my laptop that's running XP. All seemed to be fine w/ the install but it won't run. - is there a way to do this? like a "run as" kinda command? somebody at work was saying there is a way to tell XP to ?run as 98? but he couldn't remember the command.. I'm a little skeptical


 
Right click on the executable and go to properties. Go to the compatability tab. It should be clear from there.
