9th Annual AZ Strong Beer Festival 2009, Mesa

The strong beer festival is going on tomorrow in Mesa, AZ. I'm thinking about going but the last beer festival I went to was lackluster (draft magazine' Big Pour). The list of brewers were impressive, but all it ended up being was a truck with 1 keg from that brewery of their flagship beer poured by festival staff.

No brewer, nothing special, no extra info. They werent all like that, but enough to piss me off. I don't want to go to a beer festival if they are just going to have beer that I can buy at a good liquor store.

So... did anyone go to last years? Any insight you can provide? Much appreciated.
 
I wish I would've seen your thread on Friday...I wanted to go to this really badly but I'm new to Phoenix and don't know many beer drinkers in the area. Most of my friends had friends during the day so I had to miss it.

The Arizona Beer Festival is next week and I'll be in SD, of course, so I'm missing the two biggest beer fests of the area, apparently.
