9pm EST start time for the NBA finals is idiotic

In an attempt to appease the West coast, they screwed the East coast. Yes I know there is more to it, but thats the jist. The ending game time will likely be 11:30pm. Lots of people, myself included, get a very early start on the day. If I choose to watch it, I will defintaly pay for it the next day, with about 4 hours of sleep.

There are also a lot of young kids that go to games, making it hard on them. Yes school is out, however making it to where young kids have to stay up that late to watch their team play, and support them is just wrong to me.

7, or even 7:30 would be much better.

Just ranting because I know whats going to happen. Ill start to watch it, it will be close, and Ill end up staying up all night. Then being a zombie tomorrow, and every day after the games. :mad:

either way someone will be complaining. you start it at 7pm EST, game will be over by the time the west coast ppl get home. If only tivo was free.

No? I get up at 5am. If its over at 11:30, that leave me 4:30 if I fall asleep exactly at 11:30. Which is why I said, "about".

Yes, there would be complaints either way. The game would not be over by the time most people are off, 5pm or so. The game would start at 4 Western, if it started at 7 Eastern. More people could see it, and surely more kids could.

If if was two Westies playing, I could see it starting later. But its not.

You will find most people in the working world, go to bed by at least 10. And get up by at least 5 or 6am. I dont know why you think thats weird? Perhaps you sleep all day?

Anyways, pregame show on.. and HDTV looks so good. Another reason why I cant seem to not watch it. :sigh:

I'm with ya man. What the hell is wrong with 8PM? Oh, that's right. The NBA has finally come to the conclusion that their core audience is either jobless or young. :)

you get 5.5 hours of sleep if you fall asleep at 11:30 and wake up at 5. 4 hours, which is what you said, would be 3:30 am, which is what i thought was weird.

You're right about the time, not sure what I was thinking? If its over at 11:30 (big if) that leaves me 5.5 hours to sleep, if I fall asleep at exactly 11:30. Which is hard to do after watching a good game. :eek: Ok gone for good, game is 10 mins away.

Lol, and you'll find that most people on AT are in high school (or college but still acting like it's HS). They don't understand some basic things about your situation, such as the fact you're older than 20 yet not retired or dead, or have to do that stuff called "work" to support yourself and possibly a family.
