9NDA3+.....SATA won't fit...

I just picked up this motherboard. I first want to say that this system went together VERY easily. Not a single problem with getting the OS installed on a Raid array. My Adata Vitesta DDR500 worked flawlessly. No overclocks yet, but I will.

One problem is that I have a Radeon9800 with a Silencer 3 on it and the Silencer seems to be obstrucing SATA ports 3+4. I am concerned because I heard that these were the only 2 that are locked and this I need to use them if I am going to overlclock a fair amount, right?

Any suggesions?

Also, as I start to OC, I assume I should decrease the HHT fmro x5 to x4, then start uping the FSB. Any changes I need to make to any other settings (dividers, etc)?

i would recommend dropping the LTD (HTT) multiplier from 5x to 3x.. also you want to make sure your pci/agp bus is locked.. lastly you will want to make sure that your ram will not be the limiting factor, and if so, you may need to put it on a divider. i would do some searching to find out about the SATA ports, as i'm not familiar with your motherboard.

Well, I spent about $25 (damn shipping) buying various right angled SATA cables from a few different places and NONE of them worked. There is about 1/4-1/3 of an an inch verticle clearance between the top of the SATA port and the AGP's Cooler (Silencer v3).

The icing on the cake was that I emailed tech support at Epox and thus far, the first response I got back wasy "Really? Are you using the cables that came with the board?"

It was as if they had no idea that putting the SATA ports right next to the frickin AGP slot was a bad idea! LOL!
