i think you can if your software supports it. currently, i don't think ezcd 5 does, but nero does support the 99min cdr's.

The 1.3GB discs may be for the new Sony drive that has a new burn mode. You probably cannot write these discs with the Plextor, and probably can't read them with the Plextor either. The Plextor can burn the 99 minute blanks, but I THINK (not entirely sure) that I read the Plextor only burns to 90 minutes.

Fixed first link. They have more info on the 99min cdrs on the same site here (looks like MisterE is correct, the Plextor can only write up to 90min according to these people, bummer).

Just FYI. CompUSA has 99min 850mb CDR's, a 16 pack for around $14.99 I think. I work there and I think we've had them for about 3-4 weeks now. We also have 80min+ CDR's, which supposedly write up to 90min on certain CD writers, I dunno which ones though. Those are $9.99 for a 15 pack. Both of these come with the slimline jewel cases, and are CompUSA branded media. This isn't necessarily a better deal, just thought I'd let you know that you can get them locally as well if you want.
