the blue book private party value=10,800. But this car is from hertz, should i go for it at this price? it was originally 10,300 but i told him im gonna shop around and he called me today for $9900. Remeber, the great thing with this car is the 60k mi/5 yr bumper 2 bumper warranty.

edit: its an automatic, gls sedan, standard options(which does include power everything)

i don't have any other input, but if he called you and offered it for $9900, you can probably get it for under $9500.

How many miles? Auto or stick? All the options? Hatchback or sedan?

KBB says people are paying close to $14,000 on a 2005 GLS Sedan...

I would probably get the car

warranty might not be transferrable

as others said. I dont have a problem buying a rental. But if you want it and like, def. bargin more, ALOT MORE. See if he can go 9000 or below. Tell him u can get a new for 11500. i would expect a used/rental one for below a 20% retail, especially since the new models are coming out (or already out, i dunno).

Rental cars are put in very good care by mechanics. It's inspected and checked upon much better than an average owner will do it, by a team of good mechanics. I'd go for it.
