I used to have a kegerator, not a cold plate one either.

was about 60 bucks for a Miller Lite Keg 10 years ago, I'm not sure the prices have changed too drastically

Kinda wish I hadn't sold it was a good rig actuallly with a large regulator and all.

But too easy to get carried away I thought myself.

Well yeah, it's usually like a $20 deposit on the first one.

Honestly I got rid of mine because it really didn't seem worth it to me for a few reasons.

Still have my last empty keg in the garage I never turned in because thought might get another but doubt it.

Edit: probably should've mentioned that these cases are in short supply here... people were camping out at some places to get one. Yeah, camping out for a few hours in front of a liquor store.

Someone actually did die while pledging from alcohol poisoning back in Fall 2005. I know a few people who were involved in the shitstorm that that brought up.

I bet that the calendars are marked year-round around downtown Austin... I used to live in the area where all the frat and sorority houses were and I'd be damned if I didn't hear loud music and shattering beer bottles on a weekly basis

"premium," Which was always either Newcastle or Honey Brown, was ~$80.

Most I ever paid for a keg was for my 21st, a keg of Rogue Shakespeare Stout, and that was $120.

Damnnnnn...I went to school in FL so Busch was super cheap. A standard keg (half barrel) was $29.99 at Albertson's. It was $7.99 by the case so we would generally go through a keg every Friday and Saturday night. This was late 80s.

also state laws about underage drinking and all that were serious as they printed your name and info on the keg when you got it

Just checked, in Ontario it is $320 + $50 deposit ,beer is much cheaper in Quebec

Wow, that's high.

Here domestics mass market stuff like Bud or Coors are about $80-$90 for the standard 15.5 gallon half barrel keg and rising to maybe $150-$175 for the best imports and microbrews.

Why is this a 3x33 sleeve and not a 9x11 tray?

I mean, I understand they can't just do a double-flat of 96 cans. Because of the song. But that still seems like an awful packaging strategy.

At an equivalent 559 grams as that of an unopened Angry Orchard bottle, this would weigh 123 pounds, plus near 10 pounds of the heavy case packaging needed to secure it.

You've got 99 problems and now a case of beer is one of them.

At an equivalent 390 grams as that of a generic Kroger root beer can, this would weigh 86 pounds plus cardboard. That's lighter than the average 13 year old niece in Tennessee so the typical redneck should be able to handle it.

We used to have a procedure after buying kegs for a party that encouraged the metal to sweat in a particular fashion so that the glue on the tags would weaken and you could peel them off.
