All MP3s are 256kbps and are DRM-free. As someone who is trying to start a basic classical collection, I'm loving these Amazon MP3s deals.

Note, if you've ordered from Amazon recently, you may have a $5 credit towards MP3 purchases and you may get this for free. I got the Beethoven 99 masterpieces for free this way.

Good on ya op. I love these deals as well.

EDIT: Does anyone else's Firefox never seem to remember that Amazon MP3 Downloader is installed? I always have to reinstall it whenever I download something.

Mine works fine. 🙂

If you like what you hear, the complete piano concerto sets by Geza Anda ($43) or Murray Perahia ($50) are both very good deals for the best of his orchestral music (about a dozen CDs worth!). Anda's somewhat more assertive and straightforward, Perahia more poetic.

This set of the string quintets is also great.

MP3 quality Mozart? sad 🙁

Probably not a noticeable difference on 99% of people's sound systems...

Fixed.

228kbps vbr isn't the best out there but majority of people wouldn't know the difference.

True if you play it thru most typical MP3 players which is fine by my standard too.
However if you play it thru an audiophile rig via a high end DAC such as BelCanto DAC3 that accepts USB from your laptop's itune or alike then yes it shows a great deal.

Yea but like he asid, majority of people. Majority of people don't have a set-up like that.

I just got a new Polk Audio set up and I suspect I will *barely* be able to tell the difference between this and a CD. Perfect, no? A great deal, yes?
