'Black Widow' Wins Wing Eating Contest Fri Jan 30, 5:16 PM ET Add Strange News - AP to My Yahoo! NEW YORK - Sonya Thomas, a 99-pound woman known as 'The Black Widow,' won Philadelphia's annual Wing Bowl chicken-wing eating contest in a dramatic overtime on Friday.
Thomas, from Alexandria, Va., consumed 167 wings, beating Ed 'Cookie' Jarvis by two wings in a two-minute overtime round, the first in 10 years.

In December, Thomas was crowned the Fruitcake Champion after downing nearly five pounds of the treat in 10 minutes, beating her closest rival ? 405-pound Eric Booker_ by a single bite.

Despite her size, Thomas is no lightweight on the professional eating circuit. She's eaten 43 tacos in 11 minutes to claim victory in the World Champion Chicken Taco Eating Contest. She also holds the female world record for eating 24 hot dogs in 12 minutes and for eating 68 hard-boiled eggs in 8 minutes

hah just like kobayashi small peeps can slaughter big fatties in eating contest. big fatties generally have fat caked around their organs, decreasing space for stomach expansion just cuz ur fat doesn't mean much besides u can cram it down over long periods of time.

these professional eaters have to stay thin so the stomach has no fat to go against when expanding...also they keep their stomach flexible by eating craploads of lettuce and cabbage every day and filling their bellies up w/ tons of water.

they run every day so they can stay thin for competition so their stomach and mind is in optimal shape to compete. THey literally shut the portion of their brain that tells them "i'm full"...

The annual coney island hot dog eating contest has the top guys eating around 25-30 hotdogs in 12 minutes. A guy from asia (thinner than me) one year did 50. He just smacked the sh*t out of them. It was SICK. 50 hotdogs with bun in 12 minutes.

I find it sweet like honey that these fat, disgusting, greedy bastards get out eaten by a small guy who still looks fine with his shirt off (though pregnant after putting down 50 dogs). It's like saying "look at you - you eat all day to train for these things and you're fatter than hell, but you still lose. You suck!".
